On 10-13 September 2008, St. Petersburg will host BalticBuild, the leading international Building & Interiors exhibition in North-West Russia.
This year sees the 12th edition of the exhibition, which combines a dynamic business atmosphere and original display stands with an extensive business programme. The exhibition motto - ‘the territory of innovations’.
BalticBuild gained its status as in important ground for innovations, due in part to the Innovation contest, which is held within the frameworks of the exhibition. In 2007, around 100 new products were entered into the contest and 11 winners and 18 laureates were given awards in the Astoria Hotel. Entries are open for this year’s contest and many companies with new products have already registered to participate in it.
From this year exhibitors can profit by new service at the exhibition - targeted meetings with decision-makers: buyers, wholesalers, distributors, principals and main contractors responsible for projects. This service allows exhibitors to make their schedule effective and establish new business contacts and strengthen partnerships. The Organising Committee of the exhibition will mediate in the meetings’ organisation.
BalticBuild 2008 will feature more than 750 companies from over 20 countries, grouped into 12 exhibition sections. Countries such as Germany, Finland, Italy, Czech Republic, Turkey and China will be represented in national and group stands. In 2007, exhibition space totalled 23,790 sqm. A strong international presence is one of the key characteristics of BalticBuild. In terms of visitors, BalticBuild is considered as one of the best places for meeting business professionals - specialists from the construction industry come here to find new partners and clients and sign new contracts. In 2007, the show was attended by more than 26,000 visitors.
BalticBuild is a place which is better seen through your own eyes. Autumn is a perfect time of year to hold the exhibition because of the fine weather, which highlights the beauty of the city. St.Petersburg is well known for its architecture and cultural traditions but that is only part of what the city can offer – it is also an attractive city for investment, with many international companies already located there.
